More Snooze....The Blue....& The Flu !!

Does time pass by quicker while you sleep ? Getting up at 4:30 am it sure seems that way to me !....Even the extra hour this weekend wasn't enough...research shows the more sleep you
get the longer you live....but then again...look at all the stuff you'd miss while snoozing !!..........
I'm not a big fan of the time change in the fall....it gets dark way too early...

The Bombers also went back this weekend....back to the horrible football they were playing
about 6 weeks ago....injuries to Jovon Johnson & Jonathan Hefney are very troubling as was
coach Kelly's post game outburst with Bob Irving....sure he's pissed but don't take it out on
the broadcasters!...Well its win or go home this coming Sunday ag Hamilton at Canad Inn
Stadium...hopefully we'll get a decent loud crowd for the " Blue Out "....kickoff at noon....see you
there & bring a friend !!......

Love those Vikings today.....I'm watching a bit of the World Series but baseball in November
just doesn't seem right !!...its a great time of year to be a sports nut though...pick your game
and its on !!!

I was really hoping to get the H1N1 flu shot asap....but it looks like its not going to happen this
week with the vaccine shortage....still lots of naysayers out there but I've been taking the flu
shots for years now and nary a cough in the winter....this virus is deadly and I want some
protection...hell there's more mercury in a can of tuna than in 10 flu shots !! Hopefully....
supplies will be plentiful soon....ther's lots of coughing & sneezing out there right now !!!....

Time for me to hit the snooze button....

What a Weekend !

Hope you enjoyed the weekend....not much sun but hey it was mild & best of all The
Bombers smoked Montreal on Saturday afternoon...Sweet!! (just like the Al's old kicker)....smallest crowd in 10 years but the atmosphere was still loud & fun....
hoping for a sellout Nov. 8 when Kevin Glenn & Tiger Cats come to town for a second
place showdown..

Frazier, Tom, Doug Speirs and me had a blast scaring people at the Spooktacular
Haunted House in Dugald Friday night...causing terrifying shouts is very addictive

its very well done and hey...its Halloween this coming Saturday !! It seems over
the last few years its not so much for the kids anymore...its the adults having most
of the fun at costume parties....Have Vampire Mask Will Party this weekend !!....

And we can party an extra hour..."Clocks fall back " this coming weekend ! I'm not
looking forward to even earlier darkness though...as the old song goes " The Nights
Are Forever ".......

Beau Knows... that's its great to be a sports nut in October ! I mean here I am sitting in my Viking sweats & tee shirt watching a great Monday Night Football game ( Go Vikings !!) in HD on a 47 inch LCD...its almost like being there! ( better actually since the beer is a helluva lot cheaper!!)...This month you've got the NFL...the Bombers & Bisons are winning....baseball playoffs are here after a season that's about 100 games too long!!...the Moose are back on the ice ...the NHL returning to Winnipeg rumours are hotter than ever and the Leafs are losing....Whats not to like ? Bring on the lemon pepper wings from Smittys and here comes Jennifer Hedger on TSN !!! Ahhhh....you gotta love it fans !!This is the only " Reality TV " I like to watch....gotta go....it's kickoff time for the second half !!!

I Love celebrating birthdays...according to one of our listeners " apparently birthdays are good for you...the more you have, the older you get " !!I know there are some of you who like to lay low and let the day pass by ( my wife Sharron !) without any hoopla but the way I see it...it's still the best excuse for a party ! As a kid its all about the presents....as an adult its all about the presen...I mean... you're friends & family and getting together to share some good times and good will ! GAME. THIS COMING SUNDAY...THE BLUE NEED AND DESERVE OUR SUPPORT !!....THE CROWDS AT THE LAST 2 HOME GAMES WERE EMBARASSINGLY SMALL ( BUT VERY VOCAL !! )..........
....I'M FINDING I'VE GOT WAY TOO MANY PROGRAMS PVR ‘D BUT NOT ENOUGH TIME TO WATCH THEM ALL !! I'M HOOKED ON THE NEW FLASH FORWARD....PLUS FRINGE....AND MY CSI'S ! THANK GOD LOST & 24 AREN'T ON YET AND THAT I'VE ABANDONED ANY SHOWS WITH JUDGES OR I'D REALLY BE IN TV TURMOIL !! OF COURSE IF I DIDN'T WATCH 10 HOURS OF FOOTBALL A DAY....

BEAU KNOWS…… WHATS WITH THE SO CALLED FOOTBALL FANS IN THIS CITY ??....ITS FRIDAY AND ONLY 20,000 TICKETS HAVE BEEN SOLD FOR SUNDAY’S BOMBER GAME AGAINST B.C…..ITS A HUGE GAME AND THE WEATHER FORECAST LOOKS BEAUTIFUL…SO WHAT GIVES? I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT MANY PEOPLE HAD “ THEIR FEELINGS HURT “ BY MIKE KELLY ! GET OVER IT MAN….THE TEAM IS PLAYING WELL AND DESERVE OUR SUPPORT…NOT GOING ONLY HURTS THE BOMBERS BOTTOM LINE AND THEN IT HURTS ALL OF US BECAUSE THE COMMUNITY OWNS THE TEAM ! AS MUCH AS I HATE THE RIDERS I HAVE TO SALUTE RIDER PRIDE AND THE INCREDIBLE FAN SUPPORT THEY GET EVERY GAME…MAYBE WE SHOULD ADD A LITTLE “GREEN” TO OUR UNIFORMS !!
